After Team India’s narrow loss against South Africa in their last Super 12 match, several fans have started questioning the potential of the Rohit Sharma-led side. However, former captain of the Indian team, Sourav Ganguly is hopeful that the Men in Blue have it in them to reach the summit clash.
“India have only lost one match. The Men in Blue have the potential to bounce back and qualify. All the players are doing well and hopefully, India will qualify. I am sure that India will eventually make it to the final. Let them qualify for the semifinals first. They will play two more games and that can be anyone’s game,” said Ganguly while speaking at the Cricket Association of Bengal’s annual general meeting.
The former south-paw also wished his brother Snehasish good luck, who will now be heading the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). The CAB was given to the new administration from October 31.
“This is the new team to lead CAB. All of them are pretty much experienced. We hope they will do good work. I don’t have to give any suggestions to them. They all know what to do. They will do good. Next year there is World Cup and it’s not much difficult to organise the mega event,” said the former BCCI chief.
