SRH owner Kavya Maran to marry Anirudh Ravichander after dating for a year?

Popular Tamil music composer and playback singer Anirudh Ravichander is rumoured to be set to tie the knot with Kavya Maran, the prominent face behind IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. Though the couple has not made any official announcement, rumours are making rounds that the wedding preparations are underway.

The rumours gained momentum after a Reddit post suggested that the duo is in a serious relationship and may soon take the plunge.

The post stated, “It is being speculated that music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Kavya Maran - daughter of Sun TV's Kalanithi Maran and owner of the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL team - are in a relationship. Reports suggest that superstar Rajinikanth has personally spoken to Kalanithi Maran about their relationship, leading to expectations that the couple may tie the knot soon.”

Kavya Maran, 33, is the daughter of Kalanithi Maran, chairman of the Sun Group. She is regularly seen at IPL matches, passionately supporting her team. Her expressive reactions during games often become viral moments on social media. Meanwhile, Anirudh, one of the highest-paid music directors in South India, enjoys immense popularity across Tamil and Telugu cinema, with chartbusters to his credit in Bollywood as well.

The couple has been romantically linked since 2024 and was recently spotted together at a high-end restaurant, adding fuel to the ongoing speculations.

Anirudh comes from a family with deep roots in the entertainment world. His father, Ravi Raghavendra, is a well-known actor while his mother, Lakshmi, is a classical dancer. Notably, his aunt Latha is married to superstar Rajinikanth, and his great-grandfather K. Subramanyam was a pioneering filmmaker in the 1930s.

Anirudh's rise in music has been remarkable. A trained pianist from Trinity College, London, and a diploma-holder in sound engineering, he shot to fame after winning a school band competition judged by A.R. Rahman. In just over a decade, he has composed for top stars like Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, Mahesh Babu, and Pawan Kalyan.
