India's cricket prodigy, Shubman Gill, has found himself the subject of avid speculation regarding his personal life. The 25-year-old, who currently leads the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been linked in rumours to high-profile figures such as Sara Tendulkar and Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan.
Speaking out in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Gill responded to these allegations, clearing the air about his relationship status. He stated, “I mean, I've been single for over three years, and so many speculations and rumours link me with different people. Sometimes, it's so ridiculous that I would have never even seen or met that person ever in my life.”
Gill emphasised that his focus remains on his burgeoning cricket career, which leaves limited space for seeking romantic entanglements. “We are travelling somewhere around 300 days a year, so there is hardly any time to be able to be with someone or invest the time needed for a relationship,” he shared.
Cricket Success Amidst Rumours
Despite the ongoing conjecture surrounding his personal life, Gill's prowess on the cricket field continues to shine. Recently playing a pivotal role in India's victorious ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign under captain Rohit Sharma, Gill contributed to the team's unbeaten record culminating in a trophy win. He also had a significant impact during India's journey to the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 final, even as the team narrowly succumbed to Australia.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing IPL 2025 season, Gill is captaining the Gujarat Titans for a second consecutive year. His performance has been stellar, with the team currently topping the points table. Gill has scored 305 runs across eight innings, maintaining an average of 43.57 and a strike rate of 153.26, including three half-centuries.
