‘Naatu Naatu’ frenzy has gripped movie lovers across the globe after the melodious composition from Indian movie ‘RRR’ won a Golden Globe in the Best Original Song category at the 80th Golden Globe Awards.

Australian cricketer David Warner, who is a die-hard fan of the movie, congratulated the RRR team for winning the prize. Warner has recorded his dance steps on the song on a few occasions.

The aggressive Australian opener was the skipper of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. The flamboyant batsman seems to share a connection with the song as the RRR is a Telugu movie from South India.

“Congrats and well done on the award. #rrrmovie #naatunaatu,” Warner posted both on Instagram and Twitter in his response to the development.

Warner’s post in praise of the song has garnered around 40k likes so far.

Former India batsman VVS Laxman, who hails from Hyderabad, also expressed his joy and congratulated the team involved in the creation of the song.

“Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @ssrajamouli and lyricist Chandrabose garu and the entire team that created this wonderful song Naatu Naatu which has made every Indian proud by winning the #GoldenGlobes2023. Not to forget @tarak9999 and @AlwaysRamCharan for their great dance,” tweeted Laxman.
