Who can forget the heartbreaking defeat of Team India against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semifinal? Despite, Ravindra Jadeja’s heroics, India’s dream to lift the World Cup trophy had come to an end after a crushing defeat by 18 runs.

MS Dhoni’s runout will be etched in our hearts forever as a bad memory. Well, as luck would have, it seems India has finally got the chance to avenge the heartbreaking loss of 2019. Yes, you read that right!

India are likely to clash with New Zealand in this World Cup too after Sri Lanka was crushed out of the game in yesterday’s match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Now, the Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue seems to be in perfect form to avenge the humiliating loss.

It is very likely that India will clash with New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15. Speaking on the possible clash, NZ fast bowler Trent Boult said, “It’ll be exciting to face India in the semi finals. Everyone wants a piece of the home nation. They’re playing phenomenal cricket.”

Similarly, NZ skipper Kane Williamson said, “It will be a great challenge for us to face India in the semifinal of 2023 ODI World Cup.”

While everyone wants India to avenge the 2019 loss, others are worried as India have lost the 2019 World Cup semi final, 2021 WTC final and 2021 T20I WC against New Zealand.
