Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Disha Patani will captivate the audience with their stellar performances during the inaugural ceremony of Odisha FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on January 11.

The show will also feature live performances from Blackswan, the famous K-Pop band featuring Odisha’s own Shreya Lenka.

Amongst other stars, Pritam, the writer and composer of the Hockey World Cup 2023 song, will take the stage and enthrall everyone along with vocalists like Benny Dayal, Neeti Mohan, Lisa Mishra, Amit Mishra, Antara Mitra, Sreerama Chandra, Nakash Aziz and Shalmali Kholgade and Namita Meleka from Odisha. Guru Aruna Mohanty and national award winner Shiamak Davar have choreographed the dance performances.

The mega tournament will be played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and the newly-constructed Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela from January 13-29.

The tickets for the inaugural ceremony at the Barabati stadium, to be organised two days before the start of the mega event, will be only sold online. The tickets will be available for sale through Paytm Insider from 12 pm on Wednesday. The price of the tickets has been fixed at Rs 250-500. 

Preparations are going on in full swing to offer a thrilling experience to tourists from foreign countries and across the nation. The inaugural ceremony, named ‘Celebration’, will showcase showmanship, Odia culture, song and dance with technical flavor. It will serve as the precursor event to the opening of the tournament.
