The horrific Pahalgam terrorist attack that claimed the lives of at least 26 innocent tourists in Jammu & Kashmir has spread outrage across the world. From politicians, world leaders to common Indians, everyone is outraged and took to social media to vent out their anger and demand justice.
Even Bollywood actors who are often trolled for their silence on critical issues took to social media and requested swift action from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Superstars from Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra condemned the terrorist attack and grieved for the families of the deceased.
Bollywood Bhaijaan Salman Khan was among the first people from the film industry to condemn the heinous act. Taking to his X handle, the Dabangg Khan shared, “Kashmir, heaven on planet earth turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families . Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai.”
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to X and shared, “Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam. In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered and express my deepest condolences. May we as a Nation, stand united, strong and get justice against this heinous act.”
“Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families,” shared Khiladi Akshay Kumar.
Likewise, Shahid Kapoor shared, “Innocent lives lost in Pahalgam. Nothing but pain comes out of such cowardly acts of terrorism. This is not what anyone’s god would ever accept. Jo jo karam karega tu use hi hoga bharna. Praying for the families dealing with the immeasurable loss.”
“What happened in Pahalgam is reprehensible. So many innocent lives were caught in a storm right in front of their loved ones. This heinous attack should shake the conscience of humanity,” shared Priyanka Chopra.
Among other actors who condemned the act were Sonu Sood, Tushar Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Bhagyashree, Sanjay Dutt and many others. Likewise, sportspersons like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also took to social media to demand justice for the deceased people.
While Rohit Sharma shared an emoji of a broken heart after the incident, Virat Kohli shared a long post that read, “Deeply saddened by the heinous attack in Pahalgam on innocent people. Heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. Praying for peace.”
