Odisha police clinch 4 gold medals at World Police and Fire Games 2025

Odisha police bagged as many as four gold medals at World Police and Fire Games 2025 making their state proud.

Athletes from Odisha Police have delivered exceptional performances at the World Police & Fire Games 2025 at Birmingham in USA, clinching as many as four gold medals and making their state proud. 

Among the winners were Constable Ashok Dandasena and Constable Susmita Tiga, who emerged victorious in the 1500-metre races for men and women respectively. Earlier, Constable Ashok Dandasena also captured a gold medal in the men's 800-metre event, while Constable Susmita Tiga secured silver in the women's race for the same distance.

In karate, Constable Bhagavan Reddy and Constable Suman Shekhar Das also bagged gold medals in the under 64 kg and under 84 kg categories, respectively. 

Celebrating their remarkable achievements, the Director General of Police, Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, expressed his admiration and extended his best wishes for their future pursuits.

These athletes have not only excelled on the international stage but have also enhanced the stature of the Odisha Police. 

The World Police & Fire Games, held every two years, attract participants from police, fire, and other public safety bodies globally.
