ICC and BCCI took a long time to announce the schedule for the upcoming ODI World Cup to be played in India. Subsequently, they had to make changes for the match between India vs Pakistan match due to security concerns in Ahmedabad. Originally set for October 15, the high-octane clash between the arch-rivals will now take place on October 14 at the same venue.

The situation had a ripple effect on the schedule as scheduling of many other matches had to be changed. Now, Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has requested for another change in the schedule by taking into account the logistical and security considerations. However, another change in the schedule would create a logistical nightmare and invite criticism from fans and the cricket community.
