Afghanistan speedster Naveen-ul-Haq was brutally trolled by the crowd during their match against Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC World Cup at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala on Saturday.
Naveen was fielding near the boundary lane when fans started taunting with ‘Kohli Kohli’ chants. However, the Afghan pacer didn’t react to the crowd mocking him with the chants.
It has become a regular affair ever since the Afghan pacer got into a heated altercation with star batter Kohli during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Naveen picked up 1/31 in 5.4 overs as Afghanistan lost their opening match to Bangladesh by six wickets. Bangladesh bowled out Afghanistan for just 156 thanks to a masterful bowling display and Shakib Al Hasan’s team easily won the match in the 35th over.
Notably, Naveen has decided to retire from ODI cricket after the World Cup 2023.
Naveen will be up against Kohli when Afghanistan take on India in their second match of the ongoing mega event at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday.
