Not Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma may play for this franchise in IPL 2025

Mumbai Indians (MI) replaced Hardik Pandya as the captain of the team in place of veteran batsman Rohit Sharma in 2024 session of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

Following the development, there was speculation that Rohit may change the franchise in IPL 2025. Moreover, with the mega auction to be conducted in the same year, there is more possibility of Rohit’s transfer from Mumbai Indians.

Speculation is rife among several experts that, Rohit may leave MI and go to Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025.

In response, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh said, “The IPL auction this year is going to be very exciting. It will be interesting to see some big names and what they do. Will Rohit Sharma go to Delhi or will Mumbai retain him? Everyone will be watching the big names.”

Meanwhile, reports have been published in some sections of media that KL Rahul may also be ready to leave the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Reflecting on the controversial Impact Player Rule in IPL, Bhajji said, “I’m not too sure about the impact player rule, I would like to go back to the time when 160 was a winning total. The impact player rule helps push the score forward, but I’d like to see old school cricket.”
