MS Dhoni
Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has landed into trouble at his hometown Ranchi in Jharkhand.
As per reports, the Jharkhand State Housing Board has launched an investigation into allegations that Dhoni is using his residence in Harmu Housing Colony for commercial purposes.
As per sources, if the claims are substantiated, the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman will be served a legal notice.
The legendry cricketer had been allotted five katah of land in the upscale Harmu Housing Colony by the Jharkhand government through a gift deed. Subsequently, Dhoni built a luxurious home on the plot. However, he relocated to a farmhouse in Simaliya on the outskirts of Ranchi later to escape public and media attention.

In response, Chairman of Jharkhand State Housing Board Sanjay Lal Paswan said that the rules prohibit the use of residential plots for commercial activities.
“We have received complaints and instructed officials to investigate. If the allegations are proven, a notice will be issued to Dhoni,” said Paswan.
The board has already issued notices to approximately 300 property owners for similar violations of using residential plots for commercial purposes.
Notably, veteran cricketer Dhoni has been included in the Channai Super Kings (CSK) team an ‘uncapped’ player for a salary of Rs 4 crore.
