The World No 1 Test batsman Kane Williamson has started the Year 2024 by scoring his 30th test century against South Africa in Bay Oval Mount Maunganui. With that, he surpassed the Legendary SIR Donald Bradman’s 29 centuries in Test Cricket.  He has also gone past his contemporary Virat Kohli in the all-time list of hundreds with his 30th Test century.

The 33-year-old batsman stitched an unbeaten 219 partnership with all-rounder Rachin Ravindra who also scored his maiden century with 118*.

After starting his test career in 2010, Williamson has been praised for his technique playing against fast bowlers and is regarded as one of the best batsman New Zealand has produced after Martin Crowe. 

Williamson, who achieved his sixth double century against Pakistan in December 2022, now holds the record for the most Test hundreds and double hundreds by a New Zealander batsman. He became the first batter from New Zealand to score five double-hundreds in a Test match with this achievement.

Williamson has played 96 test matches with 6 double centuries to his name and has scored 8375 test runs with an outstanding average over 55.
