Legendary Proteas batsman AB de Villiers couldn’t hide his excitement, calling CSK’s signing of Brevis 'possibly the franchise’s greatest masterstroke.' On X, he wrote: “There was such a golden opportunity for IPL teams to snap up Dewald Brevis at the auction! CSK either got very lucky or pulled off the biggest masterstroke ever. The boy can play.”
