IPL 2025: Top players including Sarfaraz Khan and Ben Stokes who may return for mega event

Many top cricketers across the globe missed out on the opportunity to play in the 2024 edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) due to several reasons. With the IPL mega auction coming up, some big players are expected to return to the mega event. 

Let’s check out some big names who might return to play in IPL 2025.

Ben Stokes

English all-rounder Ben Stokes was a part of the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023. However, he could not play many matches during the 2023 edition of the league. Moreover, he withdrew his name from the next season. Stokes is currently plying his trade in ‘The Hundred’. The explosive all-rounder is likely to participate in the upcoming edition of the SA20. He might also play in the upcoming edition of IPL.

Sarfaraz Khan

The burly batsman made his debut in IPL in 2015 with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He impressed all and sundry with his unique batting style. He went on to play four seasons under the tutelage of Virat Kohli. However, Sarfaraz went unsold in the 2024 auction. After some stunning performances for Team India in the longest format and consistent shows in domestic cricket, he is expected to bounce back in upcoming IPL 2025.

Devon Conway

The prolific CSK opener missed out IPL 2024 due to an unfortunate injury. The aggressive southpaw is all set to make a comeback in the upcoming edition. However, it remains to be seen if he will be retained by CSK or not.
