Veteran batsman Rohit Sharma found himself amid another controversy after a video posted on Mumbai Indians' (MI) social media page went viral. The video was posted on the eve of Mumbai Indians' match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2025 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
The video quickly gained attention for all the wrong reasons as fans were reminded of a similar incident from IPL 2024.

Viral Video During IPL 2024
Eyebrows were raised following the incident with fans recalling a similar controversy involving Rohit in the last edition of the cash-rich league. A video of Rohit speaking with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) assistant coach Abhishek Nayar before a match in IPL 2024 had gone viral over various social media platforms.
In that clip, Rohit allegedly discussed internal matters within the Mumbai Indians camp, suggesting that 'everything would change one by one'. The video was later taken down by KKR’s social media team.
