IPL 2023 final: ‘CSK Runner up’ image on stadium giant screen before GT game triggers internet furore

Ahead of the start of the IPL 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, an image from the venue triggered a furore on social media platforms.

The image of the giant screen with “Runner up Chennai Super Kings” written on it is now going viral creating a resentment among CSK fans.

However, the viral image has left the Gujarat Titans fans delighted.

As per sources, what it might be was probably a screen testing before the big final. A similar test might have been run for Gujarat Titans team as well.

This will be the third time CSK will be facing Gujarat this season. In the first game in Ahmedabad, GT had made a winning start to their title-defence campaign before CSK avenged the defeat when they lock horns with GT at the Chepauk in Qualifier 1.

IF CSK manage to win the title, it will be their fifth IPL title alongside Mumbai Indians. If GT win, it will be their second consecutive title.
