In a big cheer to cricket enthusiast in Odisha, two cricketers from the State are all set to be featured in  the two-day mega auction for the Indian Premier League-2022, which will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

The names of the two uncapped players are Abhishek Raut (all rounder) and Subhranshu Senapati (batter). 

Abhishek is a right hand batter and bowls leg break googly, while Subhranshu is a right hand batter and a part time right arm medium pace bowler.

Earlier, five players from Odisha Cricket Association (OCA)– Abhishek Raut, Subhranshu Senapati, Bikash Rout, Jayant Behera and Rajesh Mohanty– had registered for the IPL auction.

Earlier in the day, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Player Auction list was declared in which a total of 590 cricketers will undergo the hammer during the auction.

This will be the 15th edition of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament.

Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and seven belong to Associate Nations.
