Team India all-rounder Deepti Sharma has filed a criminal complaint against fellow UP Warriorz teammate Arushi Goel.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepti accused fellow cricketer Arushi Goel of allegedly cheating her of Rs 25 lakh. She also accused that Arushi broke into her flat and stole cash, jewellery and foreign currency.

Arushi works as a junior clerk with Indian Railways in the Agra division. Both Arushi and Deepti have professional and personal connection. Both the cricketers shared the dressing room for the UP Warriorz and have played together in domestic cricket.

As per reports, Deepti ’s brother, Sumit Sharma, filed an FIR at Agra’s Sadar police station. The complaint charges Arushi with theft, housebreaking, criminal breach of trust and insult.

An investigation is underway based on CCTV footage and other evidence.

"I treated Arushi like my sister. With the support of her family, she has cheated me. There is evidence against her and I have full faith in the law," said Deepti.
