It was a goosebumps moment after Rohit Sharma-led team India smashed arch-rival Pakistan in the highly-anticipated clash of the 2023 Men’s ODI World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday.

Skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front with a 63-ball 86 as the Men in Blue registered their eighth World Cup win against Pakistan. The crowd went berserk after the terrific win and the jam-packed stadium erupted in celebrations.

Meanwhile, a video of a section of people chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ after the dismissal of Pakistan batsman Mohammad Rizwan has been going viral on social media. In the viral video, we can see the crowd chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in unison when Rizwan was on his way back to the dressing room after his dismissal.

However, the Pakistani batsman, who has been hogging the limelight for offering prayers on the field, quietly walks away.

An X user shared the video and wrote, “Maulana Rizwan getting rightful treatment.”

The video has been going viral with social media users divided over the chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

“Best video on the internet today, dil khush ho gaya, well done Ahmedabad,” commented a user.

Another user wrote, “Hyderabad ki sari biryani utar gayi iski,” while another commented, “People of Gujarat are the best.”

“Bhai sahab dil khush ho gaya isko dekh kar,” commented a fourth user.

However, a few social media users were of the opinion that using ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants to degrade someone isn’t our values.
