Billions of eyes are on today’s match as India and Pakistan, one of the fiercest rivalries in the history of sports, will face off in the men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The tickets for the high-octane match at the Narendra Modi Stadium which has a capacity of 132,000 people have been sold out.
Like always, India-Pakistan matches are the most hyped-up game in cricket history leading to a rise in hotel prices and the demand for tickets definitely sees an all-time high.
Not only cricket lovers, but the players also face difficulties due to the demand for tickets as they are approached by friends and family to arrange last-minute tickets or passes. Earlier, Virat Kohli had revealed how there were requests coming to him for tickets.
Now, batsman Suryakumar Yadav has had a hilarious reply to those texting and calling him for tickets for the India vs Pakistan game.
Taking to his Instagram story, Suryakumar wrote, “bhailog ghar pe acche acche TV hain sabke, enjoy karo aur AC mein baith ke match dekho. No more ticket requests pls.”
Earlier, Kohli had said, “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all throughout the tournament. Enjoy from your homes pls.”
His wife and actress Anushka Sharma hilariously added, “Please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding.”
