Despite being in the commanding position in the first Test against England at Leeds, India suffered a humiliating loss against the host.
Though the top order batters batted well, the bowlers performed miserably leading to the defeat of the visitors. Except Jasprit Bumrah, all other bowlers looked pedestrian. Under the circumstance, many experts have opined that the team management need to take bold decision to bolster the Indian bowling line up and chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav should be included in the playing XI for the second Test.
According to former India wicketkeeper-batsman Saba Karim, Shubman Gill and his team should consider including Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI for the second Test against England. Karim stated that the left-arm wrist-spinner has enjoyed significant success against England’s batters during matches played in India.

"Kuldeep Yadav claimed 17 wickets against England in the home series. When he bowls, the English batters just can’t read him. So why is he not being played? He’s an attacking bowler, and right now, India need bowlers who can take the attack to the opposition," said Karim.
"If you’re including a batting all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, the other four bowlers must be wicket-takers. India need to make bold decisions now. There’s no room for defensive choices. We’re down 1-0, and this is the moment to make brave and bold moves that will work in India’s favour," he added.
