India's crisis has deepened further as premier pacer is likely to miss the second Test against England to be played in Birmingham on July 2.
As per sources, Bumrah would be dropped for the game as a part of workload management. The right-arm pacer is injury-prone and it is extremely important for the team management to look after his fitness.
There are two more pacers in the team-Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh. It seems Arshdeep is most likely to replace Bumrah for the all-important match as he is more experienced.
While left-arm pacer Arshdeep has played over 70 international games, Akash has so far played only 7 games at the highest level.

Moreover, Arshdeep also brings an X-factor with himself. He is a left-handed pacer with much better control in line and lengths than Akash Deep. He is almost an unplayable bowler under swinging conditions. Moreover, the left-arm angle to it makes him a nightmare for the batters.
Notably, Bumrah was the only bowler who looked effective at Leeds in the first Test. He was the only bowler who looked to have posed some problems for the English batters. His absence in the second Test is likely to make the Indian bowling attack weaker.
