India will take on visitors England in the five-match series against England, starting on June 20 in Leeds.
Reflecting on the captaincy role of newly appointed Shubman Gill, former India star Sanjay Manjrekar said that head coach Gautam Gambhir will enjoy working with the young captain.
According to Manjrekar, there is a difference when Gambhir works with Suryakumar Yadav in a T20I set-up compared to Rohit Sharma.
"As a coach, Gautam Gambhir will enjoy working with a young captain. You see him behaving as a coach when he is with Suryakumar Yadav. You don’t see similar stuff when he works with Rohit Sharma. The relationship between the captain and the coach will be better," said Manjrekar.

"Shubman Gill’s team was like the unit of the 90s when we played in New Zealand, and Mohammad Azharuddin was given the captaincy. Bumrah is not the captain, and Gill will have to do the job," he added.
Notably, Gambhir will manage a young squad with Rohit, Virat Kohli, and Ravichandran Ashwin, who are no longer part of the longest format. The head coach has done a brilliant job with the new players in the T20I side.
