I didn’t remove Virat Kohli from captaincy, says Sourav Ganguly

Ganguly has once again clarified that he had no role in Kohli’s removal as the captain of the Men in Blue.

Virat Kohli

Former India captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has recently said that he didn’t remove Virat Kohli as Team India’s captain.

The star batsman stepped down from India’s T20I captaincy after the completion of the T20 World Cup 2021. Subsequently, he was removed from the ODI captaincy as well. Senior batsman Rohit Sharma took the mantle from Kohli. However, Kohli expressed his dissatisfaction in a press conference that he was not informed about his removal from Team India’s ODI captaincy.
