After getting ruled out of the World Cup 2023 due to an ankle injury, there are been a lot of speculations around Hardik Pandya’s fitness and his comeback to India’s side. Yesterday, the Indian all-rounder provided a major update on his fitness as he sweats it out in the gym which has brought some positive news for Indian fans.
In the video which has gone viral on Instagram, the new Mumbai Indians captain was seen doing some intense workout in the gym. His post also had a caption that reads 'Progress, everyday'.
Pandya led Gujarat Titans to the IPL Title in 2022 where along with his captaincy skills on the field, he equally played an instrumental role with the bat scoring 413 runs at an average of 41 with a strike rate of 131.
His captaincy skills were praised by cricket experts during IPL 2022, as Gujarat Titans won their first IPL Trophy beating Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad. He even led GT to the finals of IPL 2023.
Before the IPL Auction 2024, Pandya was first signed by the Gujarat Titans and later traded to the Mumbai Indians. The fans celebrated the 30-year-old's return to MI, where he won four IPL championships in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.
