From 76 in Ahmedabad to 109 in Indore, lowest Indian Test totals on home soil

It is not often that India struggle to score runs in its own backyard. Their score of 109 against Australia today turned out to be their fourth-lowest total at home.

India got a taste of their own medicine when they were bowled out for just 109 runs in the first innings of the ongoing third Test against Australia at the spin-friendly pitch of Holkar Stadium in Indore on Wednesday.

Earlier, the hosts had put up a dominating display in the previous two Test matches against the visitors in Nagpur and Delhi. However, they failed to negotiate the Australian spinners after opting to bat first.
