Yuzvendra Chahal is known for his crafty spin and cool demeanour, but IPL 2025 revealed a far deeper layer to the star bowler. Behind the wickets and smiles was a man battling pain in silence. As revealed by RJ Mahvash, Chahal played through the season with three fractures—a testament to his grit and commitment. His quiet courage proved he’s not just a spinner, but a true warrior of the game.

Chahal’s Silent Struggle Through Pain

Chahal, who represented Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, had already missed three matches due to a reported wrist injury, including the crucial Qualifier 1 against his former team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, Mahvash’s post revealed that the extent of his injuries was far more severe.

According to her, Chahal suffered a rib fracture early in the season, followed by a fracture to his bowling finger later. Despite the intense physical pain, Chahal continued to play, refusing to abandon his team or his commitment to the game.

“We all have seen him screaming and crying in pain but have never seen him giving up! What warrior spirit you have, man,” wrote Mahvash in her tribute.

A Season of Grit and Glory

Despite his injuries, Chahal’s performance was far from diminished. He played 14 matches, scalping 16 wickets, including a hat-trick against Chennai Super Kings in Chennai—a career highlight and a key moment for Punjab Kings during their playoff run. In the final, Chahal managed 1 for 37 in four overs, showing control and composure even under duress.

Pride in Punjab Kings and Respect for RCB

Mahvash didn’t just limit her praise to Chahal. She extended heartfelt appreciation to the entire Punjab Kings squad, who fought valiantly against RCB in the final. Calling it an “honour” to be a supporter of the team, she admired their dedication and resilience.

“The team kept fighting till the last ball! It was nothing but an honour to be a supporter of this team this year,” she wrote.

She also graciously congratulated RCB and their fans for finally winning their maiden IPL title, calling the tournament a true celebration of cricket. “Cricket, and IPL… my God again! Truly a festival for us Indians,” she added.
