Before the start of the Test series between India vs England, former England captain Michael Vaughan had backed the host for a 3-1 win, citing India’s inexperience and the absence of veteran batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Vaughan had confidently stated that India have arrived again to lose.

However, as India surged ahead with their highest-ever opening day Test total in England, former India opener turned cricket expert Navjot Singh Sidhu lit up social media with a merciless takedown of Vaughan’s prediction.

"Fools grow without watering. Michael Vaughan, your predictions. They’re always wrong," said Sidhu during a recent interaction.

Moreover, Sidhu didn’t stop there. Taking a dig at England’s toothless attack, he said, “Look at your bowling attack. They’re pedestrians. I mean, three of the Indian batsmen are stepping out and hitting them like spinners. Boss, noise proves nothing. Even a hen, while laying an egg, cackles as if she’s laying an asteroid.”

As per the latest report, India are in a strong position in the first innings of the first Test against England at Leeds. The visitors have scored 450 for the loss of five wickets with captain Shubman Gill, vice-captain Rishabh Pant and left-handed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring centuries.
