BCCI has suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for seven days due to security threats posed by a rise in military tension between India and Pakistan. With no certainty over the future of the current edition of the mega event, fans and stakeholders are scratching their heads.

However, former BCCI head and Team India captain Sourav Ganguly backed the national cricket board to complete IPL 2025 in time.

Citing the interrupted IPL seasons in 2020-21 due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, Ganguly said, "Even where there were so many problems in 2020 and 2021, the IPL was still completed. The BCCI is so efficient that they will certainly complete the IPL."

"BCCI will definitely complete IPL. It’s a seven-day break, the tournament will be extended by seven days as well if needed," said the former southpaw during a recent interview.
