Fast bowler Carmi le Roux was rendered critical after he was hit on the head by a hard shoot by batsman Ryan Rickleton. The ball hit straight on his head, leaving him critically injured. Roux fell directly on the ground with the whole pitch turning into a pool of blood. The scary moment unfolded during the Major League Cricket (MLC).
San Francisco Unicorns bowler le Roux was bowling his second over to Seattle Orcas batsman Ryan Rickleton. He delivered a speed bowl to which Ryan hit and the ball returned back and hit on his head.
The incident left Roux critically injured with blood oozing out of his head. His face was completely covered with blood. Thankfully, the ball did not hit his eyes and Roux managed to save himself. With severe injuries and blood flowing, Roux had to leave the game and was taken into the dressing room.
Medical team rushed to his aid soon, but to everyone’s relief, Roux was able to walk on his own.
Talking about MLC, Seattle Orcas are currently on just one victory in five games. The tournament started on July 5 and the final is set to be played on July 28.
