In the world of Indian cricket, Rishabh Pant is known for his explosive batting, lightning-fast reflexes, and witty banter behind the stumps. But beyond the stadium lights and roaring crowds, Pant is quietly emerging as a guardian angel for the underprivileged, using his fame and fortune to uplift those in need.
His latest gesture has won hearts across the country not with a six, but with selfless support to a tea seller’s daughter in Karnataka.
Giving Wings to a Young Dream
Jyoti Kanaboor Math, a bright and determined student from Galagali in Karnataka, had scored well in her Class 12 exams and dreamed of pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). But her dream faced a major roadblock due to her family’s financial hardship. Her father, a humble tea seller, couldn’t afford her college entrance fee.
Desperate but hopeful, Jyoti approached a local contractor, Anil Hunashikatti, for help. Anil reached out to his friend none other than Rishabh Pant.
Pant Steps Up Without Hesitation
Moved by Jyoti’s story, Pant immediately transferred Rs 40,000 covering her entire semester fee. This act of kindness changed Jyoti’s future, enabling her to enroll in college and take her first step toward building a better life.
“I had no idea help would come from someone so big. I’m thankful to Pant sir,” said a grateful Jyoti.
A Habit of Helping
This isn’t a one-off act. Pant previously helped another student with Rs 90,000 to complete their engineering degree proving that his kindness is consistent.
More Than Just a Cricketer
While Rishabh Pant is currently recovering from an injury, it’s clear that he’s already making powerful contributions, not just to Indian cricket, but to Indian society.
