A huge controversy has erupted as Australia were denied permission to train at Lord's Cricket Ground on Saturday, just four days before their World Test Championship (WTC) final against South Africa.
However, as per reports published in some sections of Australian media, India had been granted access to use the training facilities at Lord's on the same day.
As a result, the Pat Cummins-led side was forced to make a three-hour journey in search of an alternative training venue after being informed that Lord's was unavailable.
As per reports, Indian cricketers under the stewardship of captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir, held their first training session in England at Lord's on Saturday.
Following the development, question mark has been raised on why India - who are not scheduled to play a Test in England until June 20 - were allowed to train at the ground, while Australia, set to play the WTC final at the venue starting Wednesday, were not.

It has been learnt later that Australia were eventually granted access to the Lord's training facilities on Sunday and continued their preparations for the upcoming final at the historic ground.
Notably, India have arrived early in England to acclimatise ahead of their high-stakes five-match Test series against England, which marks the beginning of their new WTC cycle.
