However, as per a report in a cricket specific website, BCCI is planning to have a conversation with Virat Kohli about his reported decision to retire from Test cricket.

The report suggests that BCCI is expected to approach Kohli in an attempt to convince him to continue playing in the longest format of the game.

As per the report, a 'highly influential figure' in Indian cricket is set to meet with Kohli to convince him to continue playing Test cricket. The meeting is likely to take place before the Test squad for the upcoming series against England is selected, which is scheduled for May 23.

The report further stated that BCCI is planning a media conference to announce India's new Test captain.
