The current edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed the much-awaited ‘battle of the brothers’ between Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya as Lucknow Super Giants locked horns with the Gujarat Titans at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.
Krunal was just introduced into the attack by the Super Giants when Hardik sensed an opportunity and tried to go aerial of the first ball. The delivery was tossed up and full outside off. Hardik looked to extend his arms but could not time it properly.
The aggressive all-rounder was eventually caught at deep extra cover by Manish Pandey. Despite slowly getting in the groove, Hardik just perished for 33 of 28 balls in his debut for Gujarat Titans.
However after the skipper’s dismissal, the celebration of Krunal was worth watching. The otherwise aggressive Krunal celebrated his brother’s dismissal in a subdued ‘no reaction’ manner.

Eventually, Gujarat Titans rode on a blitzkrieg by Rahul Tewatia (40 n o, 24b, 5x4, 2x6) to beat Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets.
Notably, Krunal and Hardik have played with each other and not against for the most part of their life.
