On Thursday, Pakistan suffered another defeat as New Zealand took an unassailable 2-1 lead in the 5-match T20 series. Without the services of key players who are busy playing in IPL 2024, New Zealand held their nerve to upstage Pakistan in their own den.

After opting to bat first, New Zealand openers Tom Blundell and Tim Robinson provided a solid start. New Zealand finished their innings with 178 runs on the board on a slowish wicket.

In reply, Pakistan didn’t have a good start with the bat after losing their skipper Babar Azam very early. Fakhar Zaman’s 61 was only the shining light as other batsmen failed to score runs for their team. Pacers William ORourke and Ben Sears were impressive with the ball for New Zealand.

Pakistan were severely trolled after their defeat against a second-string New Zealand side. New Zealand was without the services of Kane Williamson, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Trent Boult and Glenn Phillips.

“Ye kya ho gaya bhai jaan New Zealand C team se har gaye 😭😭😭😭,” one user wrote

“One of the lowest moments in the history of Pakistan cricket 🇵🇰💔💔💔  Please don't cry, kid. SHAME ON US! I cannot breathe at all 😭😭😭,” another user wrote

"RIP Pakistan Cricket," a third user wrote expressing his disappointment.

"Again ‘C’ grade New Zealnd beat Pakistan in their own backyard. New Zealand did not get military training."
