Fans across the globe are always excited about the high-voltage match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. However, during the ongoing Asia Cup the hype around the high-octane match is around the possible rain threat.
The league stage match between India and Pakistan was washed out due to heavy rain. Now the arch-rivals will lock horns against each other in the Super Four stage of the mega event on September 10. However, the game is also under rain threat and considering the prediction, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has decided to have a reserve day for the high-voltage game.
But, there is a big chance that the reserve day might also get washed out due to rain. As per the weather prediction, the weather in Colombo, the venue for the Super Four matches does not look good. There is 90 percent chance of rain on September 10, Sunday, the IND vs PAK match day and the same probability has been predicted for Monday, September 11 too.
Notably, the reserve day move for the India vs Pakistan has not gone down well with several fans and former cricketers on social media, including former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad. As per the pacer, it is ‘unethical’ to do something like this. Many feel that this decision serves injustice to other two teams - Sri Lanka and Bangladesh - as India, Pakistan get one more day to have a result.
