Malkangiri (Odisha): A youth allegedly beat his father to death at a village in Odisha`s Malkangiri district, police said today.

The accused Deba Madhi hit his father, Ganga Madhi (55) with a fire wood following a heated exchange over some domestic issues at village Singrajkonda under Malkangiri police station on Friday evening.

Ganga died on the spot and police arrested his son, Inspector In-Charge of Malkangiri police station Rama Krushna Pati said. The body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigation was on.
