Rourkela: At least seven gamblers were arrested from a den in Sector-7 area of the steel city here, police said today. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the joint arresting them from whom Rs 27,000 and seven mobile sets were also seized last last night, they said.

In another raid on a lottery den near bus stand Poonam Singh was arrested and Rs 1200 and lottery papers were seized from him. Poonam was allegedly running an illegal lottery business in the bus stand area. All arrested were forwarded to a local court which remanded them to jail custody.
