India to begin export of ground systems for BrahMos missiles in next 10 days

DRDO Chairman Samir V. Kamat announced that India is all set to export ground systems for BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles within the next 10 days.

The cruise missiles are expected to be dispatched by March this year, Kamat told news agency ANI.

India is set to begin exporting ground systems for BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles in the next 10 days, with the missiles expected to be dispatched by March this year, DRDO Chairman Dr. Samir V. Kamat told the ANI.

The BrahMos, a Mach 3 cruise missile developed in collaboration with Russia, can effectively target surface or sea-based objectives up to a distance of 300 km.

Notably, it was produced in India with Russian cooperation.

In November last year, the Indian Navy had successfully test-fired a BrahMos missile from one of its warships in the Bay of Bengal. The missile demonstrated success in meeting all mission objectives.
