Mumbai: Sony PlayStation on Wednesday launched a game console, `RA.One-The Game`, in a prequel to the coming Shahrukh Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer `RA.One`, making it the first collaboration between PlayStation and the Bollywood.

The game is priced at Rs 499 for PlayStation-2 in a CD and Rs 999 for a CD of PlayStation-3, while a bundled console will come for Rs 5,999.PlayStation-2 is meant for the Indian market while PlayStation-3 is for the international market. PlayStation Country Manager Atindriya Bose said, "We have always believed in using localised content and Indian developers to expand and capitalise on the nascent gaming industry here.

"This will be the first Bollywood title on the PS3 platform, which we have enough confidence of publishing, and making available for international audiences," he said. The company is expecting to sell a full 1 lakh CDs of the game, which is the 10th local content from Sony, Bose added.
Unveiling the game, Shahrukh said, "I was extremely happy with my interactions with the Sony team in developing the game. They were gracious in allowing me to write the storyline."

The game was developed in collaboration with Red Chillies Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

The game boasts of a series of firsts: a first full cycle BluRay PS3 game developed with an Indian developer; first console game to be dubbed by a leading Bollywood actor and also the first Bollywood title to appear as a full cycle PlayStation game.
