Mumbai: Geeta Anand, the India-origin Pulitzer prize-winning journalist, is currently engaged in finding her roots in the subcontinent and penning her family saga.

"It will be through research and interviews that I will be writing an exciting and emotional family saga," Anand told PTI.

Anand, a senior investigative journalist with the Wall Street Journal, is also the author of "The Cure", the book which inspired Hollywood film "Extraordinary Measures".

Her grandfather (a Punjabi) hailed from Karachi, but had to leave the family business and come to Mumbai during partition. Her father went to the US from where he returned to Mumbai with an American wife and wealth for family business.
