The Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Vice President and party’s election in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, Baijayant Panda was sanguine about the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in Meerut on Sunday. He also sounded confident that his party would make a clean sweep in Uttar Pradesh.

“Prime Minister’s rally will be a grand one. You know very well about the wave in Uttar Pradesh. We will make a clean sweep here,” he said.

When asked about the INDIA alliance’s mega rally at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Sunday, Panda said, “They are yet to decide who is going to be the groom. Let them decide it first. They don’t have anything in common, neither ideology nor interests.”

Later in the day, Baijayant Panda held an organisational meeting in Lucknow in the presence of UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

As per sources, Baijayant Panda held discussions on important topics for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh with 3 newly appointed co-in-charges.  The two Deputy CMs of the state, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak and other top leaders were also present in the meeting.
