President of the All India Congress Committee Mallikarjun Kharge came down heavily on the BJD government in the state and the NDA government at the centre on Wednesday.
Campaigning for the party candidates in Bhadrak and Balasore, the Congress veteran exhorted people to vote for Congress so that democracy can be saved in the country.
Addressing the rally in Bhadrak, Kharge said, ”This election is not normal and people have to fight for their future and families. Congress if voted to power will ensure employment to 30 lakh youths. The party is committed to meeting all the promises as mentioned in the manifest.”
He added, ”Congress introduced MGNREGA which was implemented with efforts of Sonia Gandhi. We do what we promise. This is our commitment. We have been striving to ensure the victory of Congress candidates. They will come out victorious.”
