ECI receives over 200 complaints, enhances campaign transparency

The Election Commission of India reported handling around 200 complaints from various parties since the Model Code of Conduct took effect on March 16, with most resolved effectively. New guidelines were issued to enhance transparency in campaign materials, and a significant reduction in election violations was noted due to the cVigil app.

Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday said that approximately 200 complaints have been filed by various political parties and candidates at the level of ECI and across states.

“Of these, action has been taken in 169 cases,” the ECI said.
