Candidates along with leaders are seen leaving no stone unturned to woo voters in the poll-bound Assembly constituency. To reach out to the maximum number of voters, they are conducting meetings after meetings and visiting door-to-door seeking votes.

For the BJD’s candidate Abanti Das , the party leaders and workers are campaigning in Panchayat level. Das herself is attending meetings where she is appealing to the voters to extend their support to her.

On the other hand, the poll campaign of the BJP is also gaining pace. The party’s candidate Suryavanshi Suraj has been campaigning since the filing of his nomination papers. Besides visiting villages, he along with his supporters and party workers has been doing door-to-door campaigns, seeking votes. It is BJP leader and former minister Manmohan Samal who is leading the campaigning from the front.

BJD rebel candidate Rajendra Das has not fallen behind either. After receiving his election symbol yesterday, he accompanied by his supporters launched his campaign.

Congress party's candidate Harekrushna Sethi has started conducting road shows and intensified door-to-door campaigns. Notably, the death of sitting MLA Bishnu Sethi on September 19 has necessitated the bypoll. While the voting will be conducted on November 3 from 7 am to 6 pm, the counting of votes and announcement of results will be done on November 6.
