BJP won’t leave any stone unturned to win Assembly & Lok Sabha seats in Odisha: Manmohan Samal
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form government in Odisha for which a special blueprint has already been prepared. BJP state president Manmohan Samal on Friday asserted this upon his return from Guwahati where a meeting of party representatives from 12 states from the eastern and north-eastern parts was held on Thursday.
“The BJP will contest in 147 Assembly and 21 Lok Sabha seats. The party has no confusion regarding this. The BJP won’t leave any stone unturned to win Assembly and Lok Sabha seats and to form government,” said Samal.
No reactions on the BJP’s strategy could be obtained from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) or the Congress.
Notably, the Guwahati meet had witnessed the participation of several bigwigs of the BJP including National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh, National Vice Presidents Baijayant Panda and Raghubar Das, National General Secretary Sunil Bansal, National Spokesperson Sambit Patra, MPs, MLAs and state unit presidents among others.
Given that Odisha is in the focus of the party, a special discussion on the state was held at the meeting. Odisha BJP President, Manmohan Samal, state organisational general secretary Manas Mohanty, Odisha co-in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar had a threadbare discussion on the party’s position in Odisha.
Both the BJD and the Congress had said on Thursday that the BJP’s blueprint will have little impact in Odisha.
