With the Election Commission blowing bugle for the general elections in Uttar Pradesh, political parties have begun high-voltage campaigns to woo the voters.
Leading the campaigns is the ruling BJP which seems to have adopted unique techniques to attract the voters. The party has reportedly designed special sarees to make inroads into the heart of the masses.
Prints of Lotus, the election symbol of the BJP along with the pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have now made their way to sarees and reportedly attracting the attention of traders and buyers alike. In addition, slogans have also been seen printed on the sarees to impress the voters.
As per reports, such sarees which are being manufactured in Surat of Gujarat have set the market on fire in the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh with rapid surge in demand among the people thereby ushering in more profits for manufacturers.
Rajeev Bhai, a trader in Surat, said, “Through the sarees, we will try to reach out to 29 crore people with a message to vote for those who are behind the construction of the Lord Ram's Temple in Ayodhya. We have received orders for around 1 lakh sarees and are optimistic that the orders will only increase in coming days.”
“We have waited for years to see the dream for Lord Ram's Temple in Ayodhya to materialise and finally the construction of the mega project has begun. Yogi ji in UP is proving to be UPyogi. Keeping this in view, we feel he should get re-elected,” said Lalit Sharma, another businessman.
