CM Naveen’s 'inability to move around' statement: BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi expresses concern

On June 17, senior BJP leader and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi alleged that the 'governance in Odisha has been hijacked by a secretary-level official' while raising questions over the 5T secretary’s visits to several districts and back-to-back meetings. Responding to the allegations, BJD leader and former Minister Prafulla Samal said that since Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is not able to move around the State, he is sending his secretary for the same. 

However, this statement of Samal has raised serious concerns with MP Aparajita Sarangi on Monday taking to her Twitter handle and raising questions over the 'CM’s inability'. 

In a tweet, she expressed her desire to know what has happened to the CM that he has restricted his movements. She also said that the people of Odisha should know the reason behind the CM’s inability. 

“Saw the response of Sri Prafulla Samal Ji, senior BJD leader & ex-Minister Yesterday about Hon’ble CM’s inability to move around the State," Sarangi tweeted.

Terming the matter a serious one, the IAS-turned-politician said, 'We are concerned.' 

She wondered, 'Why this inability? What has happened?' and said, 'People of Odisha would like to know the reason'. 

In this regard, no reaction from Prafulla Samal or the BJD could be obtained.
