Thane: A local was shot at by a group of persons in Ambernath town of Thane over a dispute, police said on Friday.

At around 8.15 PM yesterday, a group of persons fired at Mohan Kamble following an old dispute over building material supplies, Amernath`s Shivaji Nagar police said.

While Kamble was not injured in the incident, he lodged a complaint with police following which an offence was registered under section 307 of IPC and Arms Act against the accused, police said adding that a search is on to nab them.
